The Corporate HR Department All-Purpose Coping-With-Terrorism Manual
Find a "Terror Buddy"
by Jason Roth
Acts of terrorism are easier to deal with when you have a coworker you hardly know with whom you can cry and/or drink or take drugs. Don't try to handle your emotions by yourself; you're not capable of it. Utilize work time to fantasize about potential future terrorist attacks. Try to imagine the most horrible ways to die. (E.g., compare the virtues of death by smoke inhalation versus death by drowning.)
If the conversation leads towards politics, or the morality of military retaliation by the United States, try to steer the conversation back towards what the World Trade Center victims "must have felt like."
