Documentary filmmaker Ross Feinstein was released from prison today when his production company released video evidence exonerating him of his wife's murder. Feinstein was convicted of his wife's murder early last year.
Feinstein, the mastermind behind the "Inside Death Row" documentary film, was cleared of all charges when it became evident to the judge in the case that Feinstein's wife had actually freely donated her own corpse for use in the movie. The prosecution had insisted Feinstein strangled his wife with a rope and relied heavily on Feinstein's own confession to police. However, the newly released video clearly shows Mrs. Feinstein putting her own head in a noose, laughing, and jumping off a chair.
Nearly twelve months after the release of "Inside Death Row" Feinstein will finally have the opportunity to watch his own film. The film won a multitude of awards for its never-before-seen depiction of prison and death row from the first-person perspective of the death row inmate.
"I'm especially looking forward to the shower scene," Feinstein said, referring to what many consider to be one of the two greatest shower scenes in film history. "One of the most satisfying aspects of making the film," Feinstein added, "was our opportunity to expose the phenomenon of prison rape from the point of view of the asshole."
Before sitting down to view his film, Feinstein said he would make a visit to the proctologist who installed the hidden camera.
"Digital video technology has come a long way in the year since I went to prison," Feinstein said. "It's likely we'll see a proliferation of movies about prison life now that cameras can fit much more comfortably."
One unintended outcome of the release of Feinstein's film was a major federal government investigation into allegedly shoddy cavity search procedures. An estimated 40% more buttock searches have been conducted since the investigation, with hundreds of packs of contraband cigarettes confiscated.
"Who would have thought that by sticking a camera up your ass you could save a person's lungs?" Feinstein asked.
Feinstein said his next project would involve an investigation into the Thai sex trade and his new Asian girlfriend's vagina.
