Top 10 Must-See Movies for Liberals

Harry Brokovich

by Jason Roth

A young law clerk, trying to prove himself in his first job out of law school, assists on a class-action lawsuit representing 300 men wrongly convicted of stabbing their obese wives to death with steak knives.

Although conceding that their clients committed the murders, the law clerk argues that without the existence of deadly steak knives, the firm's clients would not have had a means of stabbing their wives, who would not have gotten overweight had they known the harmful, addictive properties of steak. The firm brings a multi-defendant, class-action lawsuit against the knife manufacturer, the National Cattlemen's Beef Association, and the FDA (for a misleading food pyramid).

The firm wins the suit, the law clerk is promoted to partner, and all around the country, happily married men and women are seen eating chicken with a fork and spoon.
