Obama’s White Friends

“Race doesn’t matter,” the crowd chanted after Sen. Barack Obama’s sweeping victory… in the South Carolina Democratic primary, made possible by heavy black support and a solid showing among white voters.

Who are they chanting to? Who are they rebelling against? Who’s going to be the prick and correct my grammar?

(But if you bitch about this being such a lame, short post, then you have a point.)

I’m sure that chanting “race doesn’t matter” is supposed to mean: “we don’t factor race into our decision making process.”

But it also means “race not mattering–is important enough to chant about.” (I’m making the assumption here that chanting connotes importance)

I hadn’t realized that this election was set to be a referendum for race relations. Wake up and smell the civil liberty erosion! There are more things going on than black guy vs. white woman.

Maybe next time they can chant “we passionately care that you know that we don’t care about race!”

Yep, that’s my point. Chanting about it is one of the funnier things those Obamamaniacs have done lately.
