Hope, Change, and Barack Hussein Costanza

Here’s my hope: that Obama changes. That he pulls a George Costanza and does the opposite.

Maybe Biden is right and Obama will face an international crisis within his first six months in office. Who knows, maybe another 9/11 will distract Obama from turning this country into the socialist dictatorship of his dreams.

I would enjoy the irony. Granted, now I’m dreaming. Still, I can imagine myself walking around New York City as the only person who likes Obama.

“I can’t believe he let us down like this!”

Are you fucking kidding me? This trigger-happy motherfucker is the bomb!”

Do the opposite, Barack. The opposite.

Yes, commenting on my own post. Just want to add/clarify that no, I’m not hoping for another attack. I just think that, unfortunately, it’s nearly guaranteed.

Never did this article have any more relevance than now.

Thank you for writing this.

Maybe Obama will give us one of these:

“Look. I had to nuke Iran and take over the oil fields in Saudia Arabia. Americans are tired of Middle Eastern Politics as usual.”

I hope so anyway.

Honestly, i don’t think he knows what he is in for… he seems sincere enough to actually be as stupid as the people that voted for him, so maybe when he finds out that the world actually does contain true evil - and that “talking” and “building partnerships” won’t do shit -he will “change” as you suggest.

I disagree that he’s that stupid. But the question of whether he’ll be more like a Bill Clinton than, say, a Che Guevara, is yet be known.

I think he’ll be somewhere in the middle. Which means he at least has the potential to be the worst president in history. Remember, Clinton had to deal with a Republican Congress.

One thing that might save us, though, is Obama’s possible consideration of the 48% of Americans who didn’t vote for him, and how they might affect his poll numbers.

If that 48% were actually for freedom–or the political system and structure that requires it–Obama’s consideration of them might actually do some good…

If the government doesn’t trust the people, maybe we ought to dissolve them and elect a new people. I used to say that in a smirky sarcastic way. Now I’m thinkin’ …hey, why not?

Some days, I say “fuck it”, other days I want to fight it. I think the happy medium, for me, is just to keep writing about these idiots.
