Egyptian Rebels Without a Cause
Ok, maybe that’s a tad harsh. But “without a leader” would be accurate. I needed to come out of semi-retirement to remind everyone: “change” is neither innately good nor innately bad. It reminds me of an old Mad Magazine parody of the Apple “Think Different” ad campaign. Along with the words, “Think Different”, there was a big head shot of Charles Manson at his most freakin’ psychotic. Classic.
Did anyone not know that at some point after a leader is forced out, another leader would need to take his or her place? MSNBC is reporting that the Egyptian protesters now fear a military coup. Is anyone over there really surprised? With whom and what do they want to replace their existing government? Some guy from Google?
Replacing a government can’t be easy. I’m just skeptical whether an entire constitution or bill of rights can be laid out in 140 characters.

Yahoo! News headline: “Freed Young Leader Energizes Egyptian Protest.”
Oh good, because it was so apathetic before, you know. Fucking narcoleptic, really.
I don’t really have anything to say about this, I just wanted you to know that I still regularly check this site, hoping that it’s more “semi” and less “retirement” soon.
Even I don’t check my website regularly. I just realized that my own email alerts telling me about new comments must be broken or going into my junk mail box… But I appreciate that you all are giving me time to get my act together.
Just saw the new posts thanks to aforementioned regular checking!
